Kill gate
Nothing is paused until its ACOS clears a multiple of your target across a full evidence window.
Pausing is the most destructive thing this software proposes. A bid that is wrong costs you a few cents a click; a pause that is wrong costs you the keyword, the rank it was holding, and the time to earn both back.
So the bar to pause is deliberately higher than the bar to cut. A target has to be losing money at a multiple of your Target ACOS — three times it by default — and that has to hold across a full Decision window in its own Marketplace. Missing the bar means a bid cut instead, or nothing at all.
The multiple is a setting, not a constant. Lowering it makes the account quicker to cut its losses, and quicker to lose a term that was about to turn.
